BOWLS OF HOPE
Bowls of Hope is a fantastic event that helps over 1,500 people where guests select beautiful handcrafted bowls to keep, all donated by local potters, artists, and students while enjoying a modest meal, as a reminder of the empty bowls they help to fill. Due to how many people this event helps, All Faiths Food Bank needs an enormous amount of bowls to give out. They need help acquiring donations from the community through the use of advertisements that should make it feel like giving back is fun, because it is.
All Faiths Food Bank
Being tasked with helping All Faiths Food Bank’s Bowls of Hope, I created three animations that would be used to promote their message to those that could help make the event the best it could be, by creating events where students could show off their flow of creativity.
THE HUMAN TOUCH
Through my experience in Ringling Volunteer Opportunities (RVO) the two best ways to get people to volunteer are one: bribe them, which is not the solution, and two: get one of their friends to do it. When people see others doing something they are more likely to join and help out. That’s what this direction promotes joining a group of amazing artists to help out a good cause and letting creativity flow around you.
Storyboard
First things first you’ve got to prep your ingredients and plan it all out.
Visual Development
After the direction was chosen two taste tests were done while the live events were planned
Blocked Out Animation
These two versions had an After Effects guide made to help speed up the process of making the CEL animations
Finale Presentation
Ending this project was a group Zoom presentation with our All Faiths Food Bank contacts sharing our animations so that they can be used to help spread the word.
